Kate Cox is an Associate Attorney at Pierce Coleman PLLC. Her practice includes municipal, election, and employment law, as well as police and prosecutorial matters. Kate earned her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During law school, she was a member of the Arizona State Law Journal, competed in mock trial, and gained valuable practical experience through internships at the United States District Court, the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and at Pierce Coleman PLLC.
Kate is a proud Phoenix-native and undergraduate alumna of the University of Arizona, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, emphasis in law and public policy.
Prior to joining Pierce Coleman PLLC, Kate served as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the Office of the Arizona Governor and held public affairs roles with the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections and the Arizona Department of Health Services. In 2020, Kate was recognized as “Rookie of the Year” and received the Esprit de Corps Award for her commitment to public service and leadership during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Kate is a member of the Arizona State Bar Association and is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Arizona. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball and golf, completing the New York Times Games, and spending time with her family.
